Lavendon Fields students reading a We Can Build book

Lavendon School in Lavendon, Milton Keynes has received a donation of 50 educational books written by graduates of the David Wilson Homes ASPIRE programme.
The book, titled “We Can Build”, takes readers on the journey of building a home through the various professions in the home building industry.
It introduces young learners to the basics of the built environment, sustainability and will inspire the next generation of architects, engineers and site managers.
In addition, 100% of the profits from the sale of the books go to The Prince’s Trust; a charity that helps connect young people with mentors, career opportunities and open pathways to inspiring futures.
Lisa Watson, Principal of Lavendon School, said: “We are very grateful for the kind donation of these books to our school. This will allow children to understand the different roles within the construction industry and hopefully inspire some of our children to develop a real interest and potentially enter this field in the future. It’s wonderful to see that the recipes in this book will go directly to helping young people too.
